Tsitsikamma is a Khoi word, meaning "place of abundant or sparkling water". The region stretches from the Eerste Rivier in the east to the Bloukrans River in the west, is bordered on the north by the imposing Tsitsikamma Mountains and in the south by the Indian Ocean. The area is covered in large tracts of indigenous forest and fynbos and deep river gorges cleft the plateau as they made their way to the sea, creating spectacular waterfalls and deep kloofs. To spend time in the Tsitsikamma area will refresh your mind and reawaken your soul, definitely a nature lover's paradise. With an array of activities, starting by visiting the National Park, with its abundance of birds and wildlife, watch whales and dolphins along the untouched and rugged coastline, enjoying white water tubing, free falling from the World's Highest Commercial Bungee Jump or just taking a walk through the forest, this is definitely a 'must stop' for all those adventure seekers.
We suggest ending (or starting) your day in the Tsitsikamma by taking a treetop canopy tour - spreading your wings and gliding like a bird from tree to tree past magnificent waterfalls, over flowing rivers and among the beautiful greenery of the forest. Here you will experience having a feeling of freedom, amongst these treetops as you glide thought the forest.
